NACIONES UNIDAS (IDN) — Corea del Norte, descrita desde hace tiempo como un «reino ermitaño», aparentemente no vive en total aislamiento político ni está aislada del resto del mundo.

Al menos eso parece, a juzgar por el fracaso de EE. UU. y algunos de sus aliados de la ONU a la hora de imponer sanciones a cinco funcionarios norcoreanos, que en realidad van dirigidas a un país que sigue desafiando a Occidente con sus múltiples pruebas nucleares balísticas.

NUEVA YORK (IDN) — Cuando las cinco principales potencias nucleares del mundo: Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, China, Francia y Rusia, se comprometieron a prevenir guerras nucleares y abandonar la búsqueda de tener más armas, su declaración conjunta publicada el 3 de enero omitió de manera explícita varias de las exigencias de los activistas antinucleares, incluido el fin de la renovación y mejora de los arsenales existentes.
